May 4: The Next Ten Years: What Bold Climate Action Means for Us

May 4 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The Next Ten Years: What Bold Climate Action Means for Us with Larry Chretien, Executive Director of Green Energy Consumers Alliance and Kai Salem, Green Energy Consumers Alliance Policy Coordinator

Heeding the dire warnings of climate scientists, Massachusetts has set ambitious goals for a 50% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, on the way to reaching net zero emissions by 2050. The speakers will help us envision the changes necessary to meet these targets. Why are the next ten years so important for climate action? How will the new Massachusetts Climate Roadmap bill help make an environmentally just transition? What might this unprecedented pace of change mean for our everyday lives, and how can we help? The event is cosponsored by Green Needham Collaborative.
